What do you do at Mizuho?
I’m responsible for hiring and talent acquisition, the HRIS database and reporting. I conduct new hire orientations and administer the exit interview process.

What surprised you about Mizuho?
I’m able to be part of so many different aspects of HR and special projects. It’s a privilege to work closely with senior management, and I’m able to do this on a weekly basis. I wasn’t used to this idea, considering I came from a larger company.

How is Mizuho different from other places you've worked?
Mizuho is different because you are able to excel and prove yourself in this work environment. I am involved in so many aspects of HR that I really have a balanced workload, and I enjoy being busy.

What’s a particularly proud moment you’ve had here?
Going the extra mile every day to provide value to the firm is always my proudest moment. I like the sense of achievement at the end of each day.

What’s one thing you've learned while at Mizuho or in the industry?
The most important thing I’ve learned is to have confidence in yourself and your work. This valuable fact has helped me overcome any self-doubt, and I’m able to perform a lot more effectively in my everyday work.
